Crystal Reports Xtreme.mdb download

In the premium section of the website today (http://members.crystalreportsbook.com/

daybreakers move

), one of the members asked where they could download the Xtreme.mdb database. I figured that this was an easy question because Business Objects has a download link on their website. Unfortunately, after the acquisition by SAP, all their download files have been consolidated into a single location, and half the files are missing. It’s really a mess! I hope they continue to improve this area of the website because it is really important for use to be able to download files from the support site. Anyway, I uploaded my copy of Xtreme.mdb to this blog so that you can download it if you need it. Here is the link:

Hi there: I keep trying to download, but when it says it’s finished…..I go to open it up and it says I can’t. File not accessible or file is damaged. I’m using AOL dial up. Any suggestions? I need this for a college class I’m taking on line. Thanks! Carla in Colorado

I downloaded (many times) two different files which when zipped have size 422KB and 1912KB. Neither one has the tables mentioned in the Appendix for the financial statements examples.

Been looking for a while now, and found the SAP page with the database on it:

    https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm

Bit of a long one, but Crystal Reports as the software product, Crystal Reports 2008 as the version, and Sample as the software type leads you to the downloads, in a variety of languages too!

Thought I’d share this, as I’d been using this page for a while now – I’d like to say thanks for offering the xtreme database! But it -was- missing a few tables, sadly :(

Anyway! Hope the link provided is of some use to people :)

    Regards,

    Chris.

I was lazy enough not to install crystal reports. Xtreme.mdb contains tables with good data so that i can use the same in my java trainings.

I also found a link where you can export ms-access database file to mysql database.

    check this out:

    I haven’t tried it though.

This file should also be available in most Crystal Reports installations (at least, anything before Crystal Reports 2008).

In most cases, it will be inside of the Crystal Reports folder in your Program Files directory. Try searching for all *.mdb files.

Alternately, you can typically confirm the install location by checking your ODBC settings at Start > Administrative Tools > Data Sources (That’s on Win2k3, not sure about XP). It’s under the System DSN tab.

Thank you for providing this. Last night I downloaded the 30 trial version of Crystal and this morning I couldn’t find the Xtreme db discussed in tutorials and classes. Without this or any other db it was going to be very difficult to practice.

[...] One more thing – the previous sample reports used the Xtreme.mdb database as their data source. The 2008 sample data is now an XML file. So be sure to download that as well. If you somehow landed on this page b/c you are looking for the Xtreme.mdb database, I have that available as well. You can find that file in this blog post: Crystal Reports Xtreme.mdb download [...]
